In Maine, a registered voter may vote by absentee ballot for any reason. There are several options:

1.  Request an absentee ballot online by clicking here.

2.  Call the Town Office at 763-4199 and we will mail an absentee ballot to you.

3.  Come in to the Town Office. You can vote in person at the Town Office, or you can take a ballot with you and return it in person or by mail or by an immediate family member.

4. An immediate family member can pick up an absentee ballot at the Town Office for you. 

5. The State now offers an application for Ongoing Absentee Ballot Status. The application can be found below on this page. 

If none of the above options work for you and you need to have a non-family member pick up a ballot for you, call the Town Office and we will explain how you can do this.

The deadline for requesting an absentee ballot, except in certain emergency situations, is five days prior to the election.
